This is the first time I have ever heard of this alternative toothbrush option. I was intrigued by the natural aspect and also the portability. I often feel like I would like to clean off my teeth while I’m out or at work but dislike carrying around a toothbrush and toothpaste and thought this might be a good option to carry with me. So far, I am loving it!
The 5 sticks came in vacuum sealed pouches of their own. I really like this because it keeps them clean and safe until you are ready to use each one. I opened the first package easily and followed the directions. Honestly, biting the bark off was awful the first time. I disliked the texture and felt like I couldn’t get it all out of my mouth. So the next time I made sure to have some water to rinse with immediately after and it helped. Next time I may just try cutting it off to see if that’s an option.
Once I got the bark off, I soaked the tip in water for a couple minutes and the “bristles” broke right apart. It was odd the first time I used it. Not bad, just different after using a toothbrush for so long. I did feel like my teeth were clean after. Maybe not as clean as a toothbrush, especially on the back teeth. It was hard to reach them with the right angle. But maybe with time I’ll get better at it.
The case is an awesome inclusion and a must have! It was a bit hard to get the stick into it the first time since it has curves and the case is straight. But not impossible. I just throw it in my purse and a clean my teeth anytime, no issue! I am curious if it will help whiten my teeth over time, as mine are pretty yellow. But it’s way too early in the game to know that.
